According to the Australian Nintendo site, the company will be eliminating its wi-fi connection services for the DS/DSi and Wii. In the statement, it was made clear that come late May a number of games will lose their multiplayer functionality – ‘As of May 20th, 2014, the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service will be discontinued and it will no longer be possible to use online features of Nintendo DS/DSi and Wii software such as online play, matchmaking and leaderboards’....

My Arcade, the US-based retro gaming specialist, and Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. have joined forces and announced two new gaming devices filled with classic Namco games at this year’s E3. On Friday (July 8), Netflix released the Virgin River season 4 trailer. Fans will be able to return to the small town later this month, on July 20, for the 12-episode season. Based on the 20-plus book series by Robyn Carr, the series follows Alexandra Breckenridge (This Is Us) as Mel Monroe, a woman who becomes a midwife and nurse practitioner in a small town in northern California. In the previous season, Mel got pregnant, so fans will hopefully find out if Mark or Jack is the father when July 20 rolls around....

The long-awaited film conclusion to the cult-classic animated series Invader Zim titled Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus has been given a new teaser, as well as a release date of August 16th on Netflix. The teaser doesn’t give us much to go on, especially with us still not knowing the plot of Enter the Florpus, but it’s still fun and very fitting of the show nonetheless. We see a close-up of Zim’s face, and the camera zooms out to show Gir standing beside him as he laughs maniacally while sitting in a toilet, before the screen flashes “Enter the Florpus” in bright magenta letters....

At today’s Nintendo Direct, we got another look at Astral Chain, the stylish action game from the king of the genre, Bayonetta creator Platinum Games. Astral Chain is set for an August 30 release on Nintendo Switch. In Astral Chain, you play as a member of Neuron, a Men in Black-like police force formed to protect human from a mysterious alien threat that suddenly begins attacking Earth. You’ll hit the streets to put your police skills to the test in investigating the cause of the alien attacks, then do your best to eradicate them....

Since seeing her in the game’s reveal trailer, Ratchet & Clank fans have been trying to figure out the identity of the game’s mysterious female Lombax. Thanks to a new short gameplay trailer for the game we finally have a name. In Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, players will fill the shoes of Rivet, a freedom-fighting Lombax hunted down by an empire ruled by Dr. Nefarious. The same trailer that revealed Rivet’s name also gave us some early looks at the game’s story....

Mario embarks on yet another journey with his friends from the Mushroom Kingdom and is also joined by the Rabbids. Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope sees Mario seeking out the Sparks and attempting to stop Cursa from taking over the galaxy.
