The Nintendo Switch is selling really, really well. Few have doubted this since the console’s debut in early 2017, but the magnitude of its success only becomes clear every once in a while, as Nintendo releases figures at various milestones. Today, as part of their mid-year financial briefing, we got a look at just how well the Switch is doing, with the system just shy of 15 million units sold around the world, which is pretty shocking given that its predecessor, the Wii U only ever hit around 14 million across its entire lifetime....

Nvidia’s GeForce Partner Program (GPP), which forced GPU manufacturers to limit their gaming branding to Nvidia GPUs, was called out for its anti-competitive nature and gamers around the world even pledged to boycott OEMs who joined the program. The program also faced opposition from the world’s largest PC manufacturers – HP and Dell – who refused to join the program for its unethical and potentially illegal nature. Nvidia has introduced three new GPUs — the GeForce RTX 2050, GeForce MX550, and GeForce MX570. Neon has officially announced its purchase of All the Beauty and the Bloodshed, an upcoming documentary created by director and producer Laura Poitras to explore the life and work of artist, photographer, and activist Nan Goldin. The documentary marks Poitras’s fourth documentary film, with her last release being Citizenfour (2014). All the Beauty and the Bloodshed will follow the life of Nan Goldin, an American photographer and activist well-known for her work in and with the LGBTQ+ community, specifically during the HIV/AIDS crisis of the 1980s and 90s....

Good news for Narcos fans. The Netflix series is getting a video game, and it’s coming next year. Publisher Curve Digital and developer Kuju are working together to bring a Narcos video game to PC and consoles in a deal signed off by series producer Gaumont. Based off the hit Netflix series about the cocaine drug trade and cocaine kingpin Pablo Escobar, at one time one of the world’s richest criminals, the game promises to appeal to both gamers and series fans when it launches....
