Almost out of nowhere, Blizzard has announced it has multiple Diablo projects in the works, which means a new game in the main series is currently in development and there’s even something more. Community manager Brandy Camel explained, in a video which focused at least at the beginning on the team seasons, that the developer is working hard on “multiple Diablo projects,” and that official reveals could come “later this year....

One of the most anticipated games of 2022 for Sony’s consoles is Horizon Forbidden West. Guerrilla Games is finally showing off more about the action RPG title, with the title just over a month away. The latest trailer from Guerrilla Games, titled ‘Tribes of the Forbidden West,’ details the world of Horizon and the different tribes that inhabit the dystopian world. Aloy (Ashy Burch) explains each of the tribes in this new preview....

A new teaser site has gone live to prep Metal Gear fans for an imminent announcement from Platinum Games. Development for the title is preparing a major re-reveal of the next Metal Gear title, on Monday, April 30th. The teaser trailer features some cryptic imagery and some live action clips and links that point to the official Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance website. Last year, Revengeance was re-branded, renamed, and announced to be in development at Platinum Games, alongside Kojima Productions....

Ubah Hassan has just been included in the new RHONY cast, and she fears for her weave on the intensively competitive show. The beautiful Somali-Canadian model told Page Six at the Angel Ball on Monday night. The 35-year-old beaut pointed out that she wears a weave, and she hopes no one throws a drink at her if they end up fighting. She doesn’t want it to get wet and messed up, forcing her to wear her own hair....

There is still not all that much that is new this week with game releases, though there definitely is quite a number more to choose from this week in comparison to the completely bare bones final week of 2016. The only physical release of the week is MX vs ATV Supercross Encore 2017 Track Edition for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with no other known games coming to those two consoles this week besides that....

While Whovians didn’t get the usual Doctor Who Christmas special this year, they did get gifted with a new trailer for the Doctor Who 60th Anniversary Specials that will be released in November. The trailer, along with some new images released on the Doctor Who Twitter page, features the return of a few familiar faces. Perhaps the most notable of these faces is David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor, who returned at the end of Jodie Whittaker’s final special when she regenerated into him....

There seems to be a pattern to every NFT announcement within gaming. First, companies announce they will be involved in NFT minting or distribution. This announcement is inevitably followed by a large and vocal backlash from fans and others in the gaming industry, prompting the company to backpedal as quickly as possible. This pattern has played out a number of times now and is becoming almost predictable at this point....

Nintendo has released the first full year sales figures for the Nintendo 3DS and they are quite astonishing. The company’s 3D handheld which released last year has already sold 4.5 million units as the handheld celebrates its first birthday. To celebrate, Nintendo reassures fans and newcomers to the platform that the handheld is built for the long-haul, much like its Nintendo DS system, which is still wildly popular. “Nintendo 3DS closes its first year with a lengthy list of accomplishments but we’re still scratching the surface,” said Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime....

Be still my beating heart, Nintendo have just announced the game I never knew I wanted. Dark Crystal Tactics will be a tie in game to the Netflix produced Dark Crystal show. The Jim Henson company originally made dark Crystal in 1982 and terrified most of my generation when we were kids. Now you can help the Gelflings in their battle against the Skeksis in the upcoming Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics game from Nintendo....

One of the most criticized aspects of the Nintendo Switch is the Joy-Cons. A lot of players have had issues of drift on their controllers after extended usage. This has lead many to call out Nintendo for releasing what they call an incomplete product. This led to lawsuits against Nintendo. There are still players suffering from drift in their Joy-Cons, with several pointing out that they don’t believe that Nintendo has fixed the issue yet....

Nintendo will be bringing back their original NES console later this year in the form of the NES Classic Mini, which is small enough to fit in one hand and comes pre-installed with 30 games. However, one of the questions regarding the system was how the games would actually look on modern TVs, and we’ve now gotten more information regarding that question. Communications manager at Nintendo of Canada, Julie Gagnon, recently did an interview where she discussed the upcoming console and its display options....

Nintendo has filed two new patents for the Nintendo Switch that could hint at future games and features for the system. The first patent is a standard keyboard. This would make writing much easier. At the moment, players need to type in keys manually with the joystick or by touching the screen. The other peripheral, and the more significant of the two, is the Donkey Konga Bongos that were originally used for the Nintendo Gamecube title Donkey Konga....

The Nintendo Switch is almost upon us and while the technology itself is very important, what will truly make or break the system will be the games. We’ve talked in length about how the launch lineup for the system is pretty lackluster, though there is some potential with other games announced this year. There also looks to be a solid slate of indie games coming for the system, which we will be getting a glimpse at this coming week....

Early this year we were told that Metroid Prime 4 has been rebooted and is now being developed at Retro Studios, the team behind the original trilogy, after spending quite a long time in the making at several studios such as Bandai Namco Singapore without reaching an adequate level of quality. This happened in late January, so it was a given that Retro would’ve required more time to have something to show us — they’re still hiring for the job, from what we’ve learned recently....

Norman Lloyd, whose career spanned nearly a century, was found dead on Tuesday in his Los Angeles home, according to NBC News. He had worked with such immortals as Orson Welles, Alfred Hitchcock & Jean Renoir. Lloyd was best known for his role as Dr. Daniel Auschlander on St. Elsewhere. Nvidia’s GeForce Now Cloud streaming service is upgrading its servers with a new membership tier offering RTX 3080-class performance. Pre-orders for the new membership tier are open on Nvidia’s website in limited quantities for Priority and Founders members. Everyone else can pre-order beginning next week. With the upgrade, each high-performance server Blade has access to 35 Teraflops of GPU compute performance, an 8-core CPU with 16 threads, 28GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, and a PCI-GEN4 SSD....

Last year, Toei Animation officially announced the One Piece: Red movie for 2022. The official YouTube channel for the One Piece franchise posted a second trailer for the One Piece: Red movie. Its main selling point is that viewers will see the return of Red-Haired Shanks interact with Luffy and the Straw Hats. Since his early debut in the series, Shanks has gotten a makeover (or at least a new pair of pants), revealed in a sketch posted to Twitter by New World Arthur....
