Instead of playing a video package for the nominees, the screen went black before displaying the NetherRealm and MK logo....

Electronic Arts revealed the contents of the first premium Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit DLC. It will contain 12 new events, new unlockable trophies/achievements, and new cars. Everyone knows about Crewmates and Impostors by this point, but now, there are different roles for each team to play. Call of Duty fans have been treated to a sneak peek of another map coming to the next installment. Arsenal is the latest multiplayer map for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 to be unveiled. The map is reportedly playable at Gamescom 2018, and YouTuber Soki posted exclusive gameplay on Arsenal earlier today. Arsenal is the seventh new map that we know about in the upcoming Call of Duty title—Contraband, Payload, Seaside, Frequency, Gridlock, and Hacienda were all playable in the Black Ops 4 beta....

High on Life is the next title from Squanch Games, the development studio founded by Rick and Morty creator Justin Roiland. The shooter sees you exploring an alien world with an arsenal of talking guns (one of which sounds an awful lot like Morty). This year at PAX East CD Projekt RED brought with them some new gameplay for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to show off. Seven minutes worth to be exact and it is pretty darn gorgeous. It makes the long wait until May that much harder. The New Xbox One Experience is almost here, set to arrive next Thursday, November 12 for all Xbox One owners. Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, has shared a comment on Twitter about what he thinks the next generation of console gaming will be able to bring to the industry. Microsoft’s EVP at gaming has high expectations when it comes to Xbox Series X’s life cycle, mentioning he believes it will lead to a true generational leap as in the early days of the business. Making a concrete example, Spencer tweeted that “in my view the feel of games this upcoming generation will change as dramatically as any since 2D to 3D given CPU upgrade, DLI, memory bandwidth, and SSD....

Throughout the life of the Nintendo 3DS the system has seen a few evolutionary moments. The introduction of folders and revamping of the user interface was one, themes were another, and finally we come to the latest with the free-to-play title Nintendo Badge Arcade. Setup exactly like an arcade, the game let’s players earn badges that can then be used to customize their 3DS home screen. Nintendo themed badges populate the prize pool of various crane games that will cycle in and out of circulation in real time....

After months of waiting, Nintendo finally dumped a ton of info last night about their upcoming Switch online service. Costing just $20 a year, the subscription is a fairly decent bargain, though the benefits aren’t entirely known just yet. One thing that caught the attention of many fans was how Nintendo described the “free” Virtual Console games that members will be able to play. Shifting away from their original plan, it looks like Nintendo might finally be delivering the Netflix-like Virtual Console experience that we’ve all been waiting for....
