According to Remedy Entertainment, whose most recent work includes the Alan Wake franchise, the next generation of consoles is a “quantum leap” compared to the Xbox 360 and PS3. Spotted on NeoGaf, a recent interview with Oskari Hakkinen of the developer explains how Remedy is already working on a next-gen title. “Can the new consoles really be that much better than the previous? Rest assured, they are, it is a quantum leap,” Hakkinen told the reporter....

The preference for that model comes after admiting the disappointing numbers of Super Mario Run, which has been revealed to have failed to transform its initial hype into a profitable venture. OnePlus users in China run HydrogenOS, which is the same as OxygenOS – minus the Google apps and services. EA has a substantial library of titles, some of which have gone down as their genre’s best titles. For me, that would definitely have to be Mass Effect 3 with how much of a blast that was to play. One of the things their multi-player titles have been missing though is cross-play. Cross-play is one of the more recent trends in gaming, allowing players on all platforms to play together. Not a nervous wreck. Nerve is what you’d get if you slammed Thumper and Super Meat Boy into a blender, then laced the resulting mush with a heavy dose of psychedelics. It’s a more sadistic Bit.Trip Runner, a neon-laced descent into madness, and – if I do say so myself – a pretty damn good video game. It could have been better – held back by some arbitrary spikes in difficulty, overlong boss battles, and a few bugs that cheapen the overall challenge – but the final product is worth playing if you’re a fan of white-knuckle, twitchy exercises in self-loathing....
