The announcement posts (1, 2) have now been edited to reveal that this was was the last update and these phones won’t get any updates, including security updates in the future....

After a series of leaks and reports, the next Need for Speed game has finally been revealed. It’s called Need for Speed Unbound, it has a new cel-shaded look, and it’s launching in December. The Unbound name leaked ahead of time on EA’s own website, but the official reveal trailer confirms it. It also confirms the long-reported “anime elements,” as we can see a whole lot of cel-shaded flair in the footage....

Netflix released its new ad tier today, and subscribers are finding out that it locks them out of watching some series. Some shows include House of Cards and Arrested Development. This is on top of not knowing how many commercials they will have to watch through a show or movie. Netflix Basic with Ads is a new ad tier that accompanies other plans with Basic, Standard, and Premium, which offers its highest-value of perks with 4K and higher quality sound....

Next year might be stacked with huge video game releases, new consoles, and all kinds of good stuff for gamers. Still, I might be more excited about Animal Crossing: New Horizons than any other gaming development. Sensing this, Nintendo has released a new trailer for the game, and more screenshots of the game, showing off the cute and beautiful world we will all get to enjoy on Mar. 20. The new screenshots appeared on the game’s Japanese website, and they feature villagers, some critters, bug catching, fishing, and gardening as they cycle through the four seasons....

Fortnite Battle Royale’s v18.29 update is live now and it’s giving players the choice between two prominent weapons. It also brings changes to Quests and Imposters mode, along with the usual bug fixes. The Cube Monsters are back and Epic is giving Fortnite players a choice in how to take them down. Previously, the community voted for Shockwave Launchers over Rift-to-Gos, and now Assault Rifles are up against Combat SMGs. The Pokémon Company has announced a new Pokémon game, and it is due to be co-developed with Chinese Mobile gaming developer TiMi Studio Group. There are currently no details as to what the game is or what it will entail. The announcement, broken by Serebii, confirmed that a game based on Pokémon would be developed collaboratively by The Pokémon Company and the Chinese studio, who have developed several hit mobile games, including MOBA title Arena of Valor and Call of Duty Mobile....

Another fan favorite is getting ready to return to the tournament. NetherRealm is getting ready to release another downloadable character for Mortal Kombat. Next up is Rain. Rain first appeared in Mortal Kombat 3, and is a variation of the Skorpion and Sub-Zero character off-shoots from the old games. As you can see from the video below, it looks like a lot of Rain’s specials and combos have been upgraded for his next appearance....

Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is considered to be one of the best PlayStation 3 exclusives available, and while a sequel was announced for PlayStation 4 it looks like it will no longer be exclusive. This was confirmed by Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino, revealing that the team wants the game to be available to as many players as possible. Hino said that “having a PC version means the game is more accessible for everyone overseas....

Bandai Namco has announced via Twitter that Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, the charming RPG coming to PS4 and PC, will delay its release until January 19th, 2018, instead of its original November date. In the video posted by the company, the CEO and President of LEVEL-5, Akihiro Hino explains that the project needs more time of development in order to fulfill the vision they want to offer to the fans....

Bandai Namco has shared another video preview of the upcoming Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, this time focused on showcasing the battle gameplay, taking a boss encounter as an example. In the video we can see three main characters taking on a group of various Mumshroom, Petalia, or Whamster Banger monsters, which are then replaced by the Jelly Queen, a huge octopus-like creature that uses a variety of attacks to defend herself from the protagonists, including energy rays launched from the tentacles....

Long Story Short will arrive this year, while Short Story Long is expected in 2019. In 2017, after the release of NieR:Automata, two books based on the story and lore of the game were released in Japan. A Long Story, a novel written by Jun Eishima, was released on August 5, 2017 and A Short Story, a collection of short stories by Jun Eishima and game director Yoko Taro, was released on October 24, 2017....

While it was announced recently that the Xbox One beat PlayStation 4 as the top selling console for the month of July, it looks like there’s a little more to that story than was originally let on. While Xbox One may have been the best-selling home console, the best-selling overall system was the Nintendo 3DS according to Nintendo. This is in the midst of a big increase in sales for the 3DS, with Nintendo reporting an 80% increase year on year....

The Next Update for No Man’s Sky is just hours away from release. When it arrives it will introduce a number of new features to the game, many of which the space-faring exploration game’s fans have been waiting for since launch. In the final hours ahead of the update, Sean Murray took to the No Man’s Sky blog to write an apologetic and hopeful note to the community....

During the E3 2019 press conference to launch its ‘SUPER’ graphics cards, Nvidia officially confirmed that its Ti-series GPUs have been laid to rest for good. Rumors about a so-called RTX 2080 Ti SUPER, however, have continued to persist, even though the company specifically clarified that the GeForce GTX 2080 Ti was a one-off, and there are no plans to launch any more Ti-branded 2000-series cards going forward. Nvidia announced its new GeForce RTX SUPER graphics cards during E3 2019 last month as replacement for the Ti-series cards it has been launching for the better part of the last decade....
