The Mortal Kombat X patch that Ed Boon promised was coming arrived earlier today with players hoping that it would alleviate many of the problems that have plagued the PC version since launch. However, players found that it only added to their woes as the update, which required 16GB of extra space, was causing many players’ save files to be completely erased. After multiple reports of erased save files the PC port developer responded to concerns over the patch, saying that they have confirmed the issues and have pulled it from Steam....

Leaked renders of what’s said to be the Moto G8 have revealed that the upcoming mid-ranger from Lenovo might feature a triple-cam setup at the back and a teardrop notch upfront. The leaks, courtesy of Dutch tech blog, Mobielkopen, also seem to show off an LED flash alongside the rear camera module. The company has also apparently started sending invites that show the device will be launched in Brazil on Thursday, October 24....

Multiversus, the promising Warner Bros take on the 2D competitive fighter genre, has today announced it will begin its open beta later this month on July 26! NBA 2K21 is going to be the weirdest entry in the franchise yet, because the NBA season is still going on in the Orlando bubble due to COIVD-19 and that this title will be jumping to next-gen consoles upon their release. Starting today, select Netflix members will be able to download games for free with their subscription. Unfortunately, members in the US have to wait a bit to get their hands on free games. Right now, only Netflix Poland subscribers can download two Android games free of charge, Stranger Things: 1984 and Stranger Things 3. The Netflix Geeked Twitter account added that games installed with a Netflix subscription will have “no ads and no in-app purchases....

The next season of Apex Legends is just one week away, and developer Respawn has been showing off all the new content in the usual series of trailers. The latest one confirms a few details and gives us a proper introduction to a brand-new weapon. The Escape gameplay trailer focuses in part on the new tropical map, which is confirmed to be called Storm Point. Mortal Kombat 11 producer Trevor Traud has confirmed that NetherRealm Studios is not working on the Nintendo Switch version of the game. The studio is developing the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of Mortal Kombat 11, and they have roped-in Shiver Studios to develop the Nintendo Switch port of the game.
