There’s something good to be said for simplicity. A tiny new update patch has been released for the PC version of Grand Theft Auto 5 that fixes the framerate issues. When update patch 1.28 was released for Grand Theft Auto 5 a couple days ago, PC owners of the game noticed they had been experiencing a lower framerate. It appears this issue has been fixed. The more you mine, the faster you will become better at mining ores and the faster the skill will level up. As you progress into higher mining levels, you will also need to move on to tougher ores. With the season of giving over, Nintendo is requesting that handfuls of fan-made games be taken down from game-sharing website Game Jolt. In a DMCA notice shared by the site, the console creator’s legal team details 379 URLs that “display images of Nintendo’s video games characters in connection with unauthorized online games.” Among those now removed, there are several games that directly use trademarks and characters from franchises like Pokemon, Super Smash Bros....

Last week it was rumored that Nuketown would return in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Activision has since confirmed the rumors by answering all questions about the return of one of the most popular maps in Treyarch’s last title. The popular map will be included as a pre-order bonus for Black Ops II, and “will be available through most retailers worldwide” according to Activision. The map will likely come as a code that accesses the downloadable content, as it will be available on November 13th 2012, the day of the Black Ops II release....

Nvidia has dropped a DLSS plugin to the Unreal Marketplace, making the tech accessible to anyone using the engine. Taiwanese laptop manufacturer MSI has today unveiled its refreshed line-up of laptops aimed at content creators. The company has unveiled three laptops, two in its Prestige range of devices, and one in the “Modern” range of laptops. The Modern 14 also packs in a big punch, and can be configured with up to 10th-gen Core i7 processors, and the MX250 GPU for graphically intensive applications. The Modern 14 comes with a 14-inch Full HD display with close to 100% RGB coverage, and an IPS-level panel....

By scanning the actual athletes, the in-game designers have been able to make the players look as much like the real thing as they possibly can, rather than starting from scratch. It’s quite common for NBA stars to have their own shoes. But not many of them tie into video games, like this awesome new Nike shoe by Paul George. The PG-2 PlayStation Colorway shoe by Nike has a very distinct visual style. Earlier this week, it was announced that more Generation III Pokémon will be introduced into Pokémon GO. Since the announcement, 50 more Pokémon from the third Generation have become attainable in the game, with the new Dynamic Weather feature starting to roll out. In a new announcement on the official Pokémon GO website, however, it is stated that this isn’t quite the end of the new features coming to the game....

The title is inspired by Bornean folktales Today, Indonesian developer Ozysoft officially revealed their new project, the upcoming action-adventure Project Buramato, inspired by, in its developer’s words ”traditional Bornean folktales.” The project’s title is still not final, but together with its release, the developers revealed the game’s first trailer, which you can check out below, courtesy of Ozysoft’s official YouTube channel, showcasing its protagonist, world, and gameplay.
