Once you finish the campaign in Borderlands 3, there will still be more stuff to do, according to Gearbox. At a panel at PAX West this last Friday, August 30, Gearbox Software, developer of the Borderlands franchise, revealed some last bits of information on the latest entry in the series, Borderlands 3. With just two weeks left before the September 13 release date, there isn’t much left to show off about the game but post-story game modes and DLC plans, so the panel discussion focused on those topics....

Borderlands 3 is a month away from release and developer Gearbox is throwing everything at the screen in a splashy trailer that’s probably sponsored by a Crayola box. The trailer shows off different types of enemies and weapons, such as a gun that shoots freaking guns. The trailer also confirms that split-screen is back for buddies that want to channel their inner Biggie to say “gimme the loot” together. Series staples for players to overcome also return like bandits, psychos, and stairs....

The latest Forza Horizon 5 patch is focused on fixing issues with the accolades system, the game’s stability, and multiplayer modes like Horizon Arcade. However, many users are now reporting game-breaking bugs have begun to crop. Over the weekend, players have been reporting several issues, some bigger than others. One of the most prevalent involves players becoming trapped in an infinite loading screen following the customization of a vehicle. Thankfully, developer Playground Games has stated they are working on this specific issue....

EA Sports continued promotion for NHL 22, dropping a new trailer for the title just one week after the official release announcement. In the new trailer, which focused exclusively on gameplay, EA’s NHL development team highlighted some of the additions that players can expect for 2021, including the addition of Superstar X-Factors and augmented reality graphics that can be seen through the broadcast of the game. Superstar X-Factors will be a new feature in NHL 22....

Two new game sales come to the US PlayStation Store this week, and each are based on the titles of major publishers. One of them is Ubisoft, which has most of its franchises at 50% or more off their regular price. And also Bandai Namco has a new wave of their anime-themed sale, with titles like Naruto or the Tales series at very attractive prices. The games for the Ubisoft sale include most entries of their biggest series like Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry or Just Dance, and the discount applies for deluxe editions as well in most cases....

Three day event offers experimental War Mode for PUBG with a different set of rules. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has been mixing up the formula recently. Earlier this month they released the Savage Map in closed testing and now the new War Mode has gone live for the game in another timed event. From April 12th through April 15th, War Mode will be available in PUBG. This Deathmatch style mode takes different aspects of Battle Royale and mixes them with more traditional Deathmatch mechanics that has three 10-person teams squaring off against each other, with respawns....

One of the biggest selling points for the Xbox One these days is the addition of backwards compatibility for certain Xbox 360 titles, which has added much to the console’s games lineup. Originally these were dropped occasionally in larger groups, but Microsoft changed that up last year by putting them out whenever they were ready, typically every Tuesday and Thursday.
