Netflix announced the star-studded cast of their adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman. Originally a DC comic series, The Sandman has been the subject of many adaptation rumors in the past, but this is shaping up to be a good one. Game of Thrones fans will recognize two familiar faces. Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth) will be playing Lucifer, and Charles Dance (Tywin Lannister) has been cast as Roderick Burgess. Tom Sturridge (Velvet Buzzsaw) will be playing the main character, Dream, and the rest of the casting can be seen below....

Remedy has confirmed that it is working on a new Alan Wake game. As earlier rumors had suggested, it will not be Alan Wake 2. Remedy Entertainment is working on another installment of Alan Wake content that is neither a sequel to the original Alan Wake or downloadable content for the original. Oskari Hakkinen spoke in a recent interview about this mysterious title claiming that “It’s definitely something that will give more to the Wake fans out there, but just as importantly, this installment will also give an opportunity for players who aren’t familiar with the franchise to finally jump on board....

Now that the dust has settled from the previous round of new character banners in Genshin Impact, fans are looking forward to new additions. The contents of the new banners have been known for some time, but the exact dates of the next Event Wishes in the game have now been announced. The new banners will launch in-game on November 18, running until December 6 and giving players a solid few weeks to pull for the returning 5-star characters....

You’re always fighting in broad sunlight, and there are no weather effects. Partially confirming a report from last month from Bloomberg, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa released a statement through Nikkei (translated by VGC) during an interview with the Japanese newspaper. Furukawa confirms that semiconductor shortages may impact Nintendo Switch production and retail availability this year. Furukawa states that Nintendo was “able to secure the necessary materials for the immediate production of semiconductors for Switches.” However, thanks to strong demand in Japan and other countries, “there is a possibility of shortages at some retailers in the future....

In an interview with Alphabeatic, Nintendo of Canada GM Pierre-Paul Trepanier shared some details about Nintendo’s upcoming E3 plans. When asked about the wealth of Canadian developers that Nintendo could tap into, Trepanier stated that Nintendo had a few new things to share next week. “We still have those great, big third-party partners like Ubisoft who continue to invest in our platforms,” said Trepanier. “In the next few weeks at E3 you’ll be hearing about more big third-party partnerships....

Nintendo has no plans to abandon the Wii once the next generation Wii U launches in 2012. Reggie Fils-Aime clarified Nintendo’s stance on the two consoles co-existing, and thinks that the two will reach different and distinct audiences.
