Bandai Namco secured the nod with its author and publisher, Kohei Horikoshi and Shueisha, to create this explosive, free-to-play RPG mobile game. The game is set to release in Japan in 2021. After a brief tease by developer Epic Games weeks ago, former NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is officially coming to Fortnite. The Milwaukee Bucks star follows in the footsteps of LeBron James as the only other basketball player to earn a skin in the battle royale. Best of all, Antetokounmpo will soon be available in two different variants, each mightily themed after his heritage. As revealed by Hypebeast, two Icon Series skins for Giannis Antetokounmpo will launch inside Fortnite’s Item Shop on December 24 at 7 PM ET, with their sales expected to last beyond the new year....

Netflix continues to add new features to its mobile app. It just recently brought a new audio-only mode that lets you listen to a movie or series in the background. And now, Netflix has upgraded the audio experience to make the content sound better on Android devices. The second point makes a significant difference in many countries, especially one like India. The codec offers a variable bitrate for audio streaming. This means your audio output will adjust depending on your Android phone’s Internet connection....

Prior to the game’s release, Nintendo held a poll to determine which ability was the most popular, with the intention of making the winning ability available in the game. Another poll was conducted after the game’s release. The winners of the two polls were the Mirror and Sleep abilities, and Nintendo announced today that those two abilities will be made available in the game via free update later today. Ooh, Elden Ring leaks. They’re like a weekly event at this point. That’s right, another bit of footage from FromSoftware and George RR Martin’s collaboration project has just hit the internet. Although this Elden Ring leak is only six seconds long, blurry, and lacking any actual gameplay footage, the clip once again features the same “Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe internal use” watermark previously seen in March leaked footage. With that in mind, it could be actual promotional material that Bandai Namco is planning to show sometime in the future....

Guerrilla Games has started a new round of hires, which include several multiplayer experts who won’t work on the Horizon: Zero Dawn franchise. In particular, the Dutch studio has grabbed a couple Rainbow Six Siege staffers, who are probably going to contribute to another shooter, most likely a brand-new Killzone game. The two are Simon Larouche, who already spent three years at Guerrilla working on Killzone 2 (and has served as game director on R6 Siege), as well as new principal game designer Chris Lee....

Marvel has announced a new series of one-shots starring Moon Girl and her prehistoric partner, Devil Dinosaur. These one-shots will see the super-duo travel through the Marvel Universe, saving the day. As they do so, they will team up with some of Marvel’s mightiest heroes. The series will see Moon Girl, aka Lunella Lafayette, fight alongside the X-Men, the Avengers, etc. Did You Say Dinosaur? Everyone is waiting for the 2nd one. After 2 weeks of silence, we finally have some nice games coming out in a few days, and we can’t wait for the new Hitman 3. This is sadly going to be the end of the trilogy because of the new James Bond project, but hopefully, we will get more Hitman games in the future. Last year, EA announced that Criterion Games was finally moving back to take over development on Need for Speed after spending time helping DICE with Star Wars Battlefront II and Battlefield V. The NFS franchise has been in a rut for the last few years under Ghost Games. Many fans were hoping Criterion could inject some nitrous fuel into the languishing series. Serebii revealed details about the upcoming Pokémon Go event is going to be the Water Festival 2019. The event focuses on water-type Pokémon. Serebii revealed on their website that the Water Festival 2019 begins on Aug. 23, and lasts until the 28. During the event, water-type Pokémon spawns are going to increase and show up more frequently near areas of water. Water-type Pokémon will also appear in hatched eggs. Game streaming is the talk of the town right now on the Internet, and it looks like every company out there is doing, or considering, efforts to join that market. Nintendo has released a new game for Switch that helps you make your own games. Titled Game Builder Garage, the game is currently available for pre-order at $22.99 via Nintendo’s Store. The game will be available from June 11, 2021. Nintendo Game Builder Garage doesn’t involve writing code and uses visual programming instead. All you have to do is connect creatures they call ‘Nodon’ to build your game. You can customize in-game objects, background music, effects, and more....

According to a new rumor, Nintendo Switch Pro has reportedly been ditched in favor of an “overhauled next-generation model.“ This model would be “intended to replace the one currently available,” so it wouldn’t work as PS4 Pro with the regular PS4 (or Xbox One X with Xbox One), with both the platforms on the market for different audiences. The fact that “next-gen” and “replace” are used as defining words for this new model seems to be hinting that it would be way more than the Pro version we were told in the past, and also that it could take a bit more time before we can see it on the store shelves....
