The shortage of GPU supplies is expected to see some improvements and the second half of this year could ease out the situation, as hinted by Nvidia’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Colette Kress. She made the claim at the 24th Annual Needham Growth Conference recently, and here are all the details. Kress suggests that Nvidia is working towards getting the supply issue fixed. As per a Seeking Alpha report, she stated, “In the second half of calendar ’22, we believe we’ll be in a great position with our overall supply in terms of our estimations of what we will need going forward....

In a few recent posts from Obsidian’s own employment subsection, they have revealed key details about their next project, including a new RPG. They have given updates on their summer internship. A quick history of Obsidian recently: As of late, Obsidian has worked on some key RPGs such as the fantastic Pillars of Eternity and the recent The Outer Worlds. In the latter half of 2018, Microsoft acquired Obsidian. After finishing The Outer Worlds, they went to work on Grounded( a huge survival sim where you are the size of an ant) One would assume that this is all they’re working on currently as it seems like a big project, but their recent update suggests otherwise...

In a crossover event that surprises no one, Amaterasu-inspired equipment from Okami comes to Monster Hunter Rise. Ever since the dog hunting partner Palamute was first shown off, most Monster Hunter Rise and Capcom games fans have expected an Okami collaboration to be part of one of the post-launch updates. The event quest comes on July 30 and will reward you with Amaterasu layered armor for your Palamute and a Celestial Brush weapon (probably a Long Sword) for your Hunter....

With the rise of downloadable content, one practice that developers have turned to is one that ships unlockable DLC with retail version of the game. Nothing angers gamers more these days, than paying for premium content only to find that it’s already been sold to them, there just paying to unlock content via a small downloadable key. Paul Rustchynsky worked on PlayStation’s Motorstorm franchise before directing both Driveclub and Project Cars. Now Rustchynsky is doing something different with Just Cause developer Avalanche Studios — and it’s not another racing game. Avalanche Studios Group opened a new location in Liverpool in 2021, and Rustchynsky tweeted that the new team’s first game will be announced this year. Given those past projects, it would be easy to assume that another racing game is in the works, but that’s not the case....

The Mount & Blade series first hit the scene back in 2008 and while it wasn’t particularly visually appealing, the kind of gameplay it brought to the table wowed the critics with its open-world sandbox that allowed you to head your own group of men, which could number up to the hundreds, and fight together with them on the battlefields as your own playable character. Naughty Dog announced during an all-studio meeting on Friday that longtime writer and director, Neil Druckmann will become co-president of Naughty Dog. Druckmann had been serving as vice president of Naughty Dog for the last three years. This puts the Uncharted 4 and the Last of Us director at the top of the company started working for as an intern all the way back in 2004....

The king of hoops retains the throne. If you put NBA 2K19 right next to NBA 2K18 I can’t say with any conviction that I’d be able to tell the two games apart. They’d both look amazing. Putting hands-on either game, I don’t think I could instantly tell the gameplay differences between the two, nor would I be able to dig into the menus and find any real new options. NBA 2K19 is a marginal upgrade to last year’s game and feels like a roster update to NBA 2K18 with a few bullet points that translate to minimal improvements in some of the gameplay systems....

It is not new that Hollywood executives might want to alter a film or TV show that does not go with the creatives’ perspective. Creators of the Netflix series Wednesday, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, revealed to IndieWire that the streamer’s executives fought to cut some lines that would have changed some of the context, personality, and tone from the leading star, played by Jenna Ortega. The series is part coming-of-age story and part murder mystery with the iconic Addams family character....

Having conquered the video-streaming market with a torrent of uber-popular shows like Tiger King, Stranger Things, Better Call Saul, and more, Netflix is now seemingly all set to add a so-called ‘Audio Mode’ for background listening. That’s according to XDA, which claims that an APK teardown of the latest version of the Netflix Android app suggests that the company is working on background audio playback. If the feature does eventually roll out, it will be helpful for music concerts and stand-up comedy skits, where you can save a lot of mobile data by just streaming the audio while skipping on the video entirely....

Two tournaments pushed forward while the upcoming tournament on schedule for this weekend The Apex Legends Global Series Online Tournaments (OT) #5 and #6 have been pushed forward one day, the new dates are May 2-3 and May 30-31 respectively. The next event, OT #4, will be held as scheduled on April 18-20. The tournaments will be streamed live on the Apex Legends Twitch and YouTube channel. Respawn has seen viewership for its online tournaments triple in the past fourteen days as a part of its “Stay Home, Play Together” initiative....

Just minutes after Fortnite’s in-game Collision event came to an end, developer Epic Games wasn’t afraid to already showcase some of the content inside the upcoming Chapter 3 Season 3 Battle Pass. Recent teasers now confirm the pass will include at least three, never-before-seen unlockable skins. Better yet, it appears the Battle Pass will also deliver additional styles for each character and at least three all-gold Back Blings. On a website known as Fortnite Lookbook, Epic details that the Chapter 3 Season 3 Battle Pass will feature a female in a black and purple dress, another in matte black body armor, as well as one male that dawns a t-shirt covered in victory royale crowns....
