Nintendo reveals the new main theme for the upcoming Fire Emblem: Three Houses. The box art for the game was also unveiled a few days earlier. Fire Emblem was once a Japanese exclusive title for Nintendo, and has now rose to be one of the premier Nintendo titles. The mobile title, Fire Emblem Heroes, has just recently been revealed as having accumulated around half a billion dollars worldwide. A new mainline Fire Emblem game on the Nintendo Switch was teased way back in 2017, during that year’s January Direct....

At long last, the Nintendo Switch is getting its very first streaming app. No, its not YouTube, Hulu or Netflix…its Niconico. Don’t worry if you’ve never heard of Niconico either — it’s immensely popular in Japan, but it is also only exclusive to Japan (with some English options). And that’s perfectly fine because the app will also only be available on the Japanese eShop for the foreseeable future. At the very least, Switch owners outside of Japan do have the option of downloading the streaming app by making a Japanese account and seeing what Niconico is all about....

Could this happen once again? Probably, if the Nintendo Switch does well and is actually being used as a handheld device. If this is the case, then launching a true successor to the 3DS would only eat into Nintendo’s market for the Switch. But, if the Switch doesn’t do well, or most gamers use it exclusively at home, then an updated 3DS could definitely be released, or possibly a modified Switch that is aimed specifically at that market....

The Virtual Console has become something that many Nintendo gamers come to expect with their Nintendo consoles, giving them access to some of the company’s classic games that appeared on older consoles. However, Nintendo has confirmed today that Nintendo Switch will not have Virtual Console support at launch. As for the reasoning for this happening, Nintendo was pretty mum on the issue. They released a statement that simply said “Virtual Console games will not be available on Nintendo Switch at launch....

Word broke this week that Japan’s Nintendo will be ceasing production due to the virus ravaging various regions. This comes while Japan’s Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, declared a state of emergency alongside a record stimulus package plan to help the world’s third-biggest economy through the sickness. Switch stock is so scarce that Japenese retailer Yamada Denki, held a lottery for customers to buy Ring Fit Adventure and the console. There were 900 copies of Ring Fit and 100 Switch units available....

Bad news for Nintendo Wii console owners who use the gaming system to stream their Netflix content. They’ll want to find a new way to watch their shows. The gaming company announced to all their customers who use the system, they are shutting down the Netflix app for the original Wii console come early 2019. A post of the email customers received containing the bad news found its way to a Reddit forum....

HMD Global has launched the Nokia 7.1 in India, and it will go on sale in the country starting December 7. The successor to the Nokia 7 from last year, it has a new and modern design, a superior display, and improved camera hardware thanks to dual Zeiss lenses. This time around there’s no e-commerce exclusivity for the Nokia 7.1 smartphone and it will be available at mobile retail outlets in India and on Nokia’s online store....

The 14-minute fan film feels like a genuine Uncharted cutscene. Last week, Castle and Firefly actor Nathan Fillion started making some posts on his Twitter and Instagram accounts teasing some sort of Uncharted-related announcement. SOE has released a new patch update for DC Universe Online PS3 inorder to fix the freezing issue which many gamers were facing. According to the details revealed by game’s executive producer DeadMeat, the hotfix had reduced the number of crash and freeze occurrences, but it does not completely rectify the issue. On DC Universe official Facebook Page, DeadMeat revealed the exact reason behind the issue and said, “Quite simply the game gets into a state where it requires more memory and there is no more to give....

Square Enix sold several of its Western studios last month, including Deus Ex and Tomb Raider developers, but Avalanche Studios is still in its pocket. On the other hand, the Japanese company owns the rights to the Just Cause franchise and says it has big plans. A new Just Cause 5 game is finally coming after four years.
