The cat’s finally been let out of the bag for Life is Strange 2, the anticipated follow up to Dontnod’s acclaimed episodic adventure game. The trailer introduces two new characters, Sean and Daniel Diaz, who are forced to flee their Seattle, Washington home after a “tragic event” takes place. It appears as if Sean is responsible for the mysterious happenings from the initial teaser clip. The two brothers must flee Johnny Law or risk being separated from each other, making their way toward their hometown of Puerto Lobos, Mexico....

Electronic Arts has revealed its earnings report for its Q4 2022 today, wrapping up the financial year for the global gaming heavyweight. It’s already been a big day for the developer and publisher, as Electronic Arts earlier in the day confirmed that it was ending its branding relationship with FIFA in 2023. Fortnite and DC have collaborated to release a brand new trailer in anticipation of the new comic book series Batman/Fortnite: Foundation. The New World test server got Mutators earlier this month, and now the MMO’s January update is making them available to everyone. In addition to those, the update brings more streamlined leveling, quality-of-life improvements, and balance fixes. Mutators are the biggest additions to the game. They change “the way encounters play out and what strategies players should consider before battle” with regular and named enemies during raids. In other words, a Mutated Expedition will give your foes new attacks, elemental affinities, and curses....

Another beloved character has been announced for the Smash Bros.-like fighting game Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. Project manager Joel Nyström of Ludosity announced on the PlayStation Blog that Ren & Stimpy from the influential Ren & Stimpy Show will be joining the roster as a single fighter. Nyström explained in the blog post the decision to present Ren & Stimpy as one unit. “They are separate characters with distinct personalities, but they are also inseparable which is why they play as a single, joint character in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl....

Bad news for those Nintendo fans hoping for a Switch Pro. The gaming giant has come out and told investors that a new Switch model is not in the works. The news came courtesy of Nintendo president and CEO, Shuntaro Furukawa. As of now, there are “no plans” to produce a new Switch version for the year 2020. The Hemsworth brothers are usually on the run as legions of women chase them through the streets. The plot sees Dodge Maynard (Liam Hemsworth) dying from an illness and trying to provide money for his pregnant wife....

24 Entertainment’s debut title has the heart, but two substantial issues could undermine all their hard work. After being extended by a day, the final beta playtest for Naraka: Bladepoint has come to a close. The melee-focused battle royale has quite a bit going for it, but performance issues and server woes left a poor taste in some players’ mouths. These problems weren’t enough to stop over 183,000 fans from playing the game at its peak over the weekend, but they’ll certainly affect the word-of-mouth leading up to Naraka’s August 12th launch....
