Nintendo announced during a Nintendo Direct presentation out of Japan that the company would be launching a premium variation of the Nintendo Network. Nintendo Network Premium will come bundled with the Wii U Premium Hardware Bundle which was dated for December in Japan. Ever since the first review units of the Nintendo Switch arrived in people’s hands there has been a minor controversy over some troubling connection issues with the controllers. Specifically the left Joy-Con seemed to be highly prone to losing connection to the console, especially if there was some physical object blocking line-of-sight. Nintendo promised to look at the issue and has issued an official statement to Kotaku saying that the Joy-Con desync issues are not widespread and that they have a solution available to those affected....

Nintendo released a video detailing what new games will be part of the Nintendo Switch Online March Update. The update will include three games from the Sega Genesis library. These games are Light Crusader, Super Fantasy Zone, and Alien Soldier. The video shows brief footage of what each game will look like on the Nintendo Switch Online, with each game looking better than ever. Oculus Rift started as a small Kickstarter project, a project that was originally only asking for a very small amount of start-up capital. Funded on a grass roots level, the Oculus Rift exceeded all expectations, and while it’s too early to tell, it just may have kicked off a virtual reality revolution. Though these early adopters who pledged their money to Kickstarter are unsurprisingly pissed about the recent Facebook deal, one which had the social media company paying two billion dollars for Oculus VR....

I am a devoted comic book movie connoisseur, and I have come to the conclusion that it is time for Marvel Studios/Sony to make a Maximum Carnage movie. Watching Far From Home with my daughter and reading my Carnage Classic graphic novel has inspired a three-part article series detailing what my ideal movie-based-on-a-bloated-comic-book-crossover-from-the-90s would be like. International production company MUBI has officially secured the rights to The African Desperate, a feature-length film that recently premiered globally at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and for domestic audiences at New York’s New Directors/New Films festival. MUBI, a production company and film-based streaming service, will premiere The African Desperate on September 16th. The African Desperate features emerging actress Diamond Stingily as Palace Bryant, an artist and recent MFA graduate from a mostly-white liberal arts college in upstate New York, as her final day at school becomes a “psychedelic odyssey,” according to the film’s official synopsis....

April 11 brought a new promo into NBA 2K22. The team at 2K Sports has introduced a daily player reward during the Zero Gravity season. Each day, a new player will be added to the game that you can earn via in-game Agendas. The OVR of the players increased until 2K drops a brand new 99 OVR Dark Matter. While developer Harebrained Schemes had originally intended to release the action adventure game Necropolis on PC next month, the company has just revealed that those plans have changed a little. The reason for this is that they have also revealed that the game will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this Summer, and rather than having a PC version release before then they want to have a simultaneous release for all versions of the game....

Prime1Studio has now opened preorders on its expensive statue (or figure) of Unit 01 from Neon Genesis Evangelion. The mecha figure stands at an impressive 65.7 cm in height. It also includes a premium fluorescent paint job, light-up LED eyes, and two swappable heads. The first head shows the standard look of the robot, while the other shows it in berserk mode. The statue recreates Shinji’s first battle with an Angel, which was in the first few episodes of the original anime....
