Oppo To Unveil Its 125W Fast Charging Technology On July 15

Battery charging speeds in smartphones are all set to see a significant jump in the coming months. Days after rumors suggested that Realme will announce its ~120W fast-charging technology later this month, Oppo has officially announced plans to unveil its 125W fast-charging technology this week. In a tweet earlier today, the company said that it will announce its latest charging tech on Wednesday, July 15th.

Of course, Oppo and Realme are not the only smartphone brands working on super-fast charging technologies. Xiaomi last year showed-off its 100W “Super Charge Turbo” technology that can juice up a 4,000mAh battery in just 17 minutes. It is, however, yet to show-up in any commercial device until now.
