One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows will launch on Play Station 4, Xbox One and PC on February 28th, 2020, Bandai Namco revealed today.

The game will see players creating their own custom-made hero and completing missions as they climb the ranks of the Hero Association to become an S-Class hero.

Bandai Namco said that, even during fights, players will always have to be on the lookout for random events that will complicate things. From super-villain interferences to asteroid crashes. It really looks like the game will be literally throwing at you everything it can.

The game’s story-line is based on the first season of the One Punch Man anime and will be set in an alternative-reality Tokyo where monsters are trying to take over the world and heroes are humanity’s only hope.

The news of the release date comes after a closed beta of the game launched last month. Running during the first weekend of November, the beta saw gamers challenging each other and AI-controlled characters.

Together with the date release announcement, Bandai Namco showcased a new trailer today, displaying the characters’ line-up and the hero King’s “special skill”.

According to the Japanese game company, One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows will also include both English and Japanese voice-over.

Players pre-ordering the game will receive early access for Saitama Dream Version – AKA wearing pajamas – who will take damage like a “normal” hero, together with additional outfits for Saitama which include his jersey and black suit, and a Saitama mask.
