Coming off the success of HBO’s House of the Dragon, Olivia Cooke has been set to take on the leading role in the horror movie Visitation. She will be joined by a supporting cast consisting of Isla Johnston (Queen’s Gambit), Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones), Penelope Wilton (Downton Abbey), and Stephen Rea (V for Vendetta).

Nicolas Pesce, who helmed the 2020 remake of The Grudge, will direct the film. The script was written by first-time screenplay writer Helen Gaughran.

The horror movie with Olivia Cooke will follow a 14-year-old girl named Maria and her dying mother, who are sent to live with some Catholic nuns. Soon, the nuns are not as watchful and caring as a sinister plot starts to unfold for the teenager and her mother as their caregivers start to be fixated on the daughter for the wrong reasons. The House of the Dragon star will be one of the nuns, but other character descriptions and details for the other already-cast stars are under wraps.

She will be keeping up her busy schedule by taking on a major role in the thriller Mother’s Milk.
