Nintendo is still looking for ways to monopolize the mobile device market. By doing so, the Japanese company has been using several of its franchises to attract people. Users can easily play tiles such as Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, Mario Kart Tour, and Pokémon Masters EX. This is without mentioning games that work on the Nintendo Switch and mobiles like Pokémon Unite. Now, we’ve got rumors of a patent that just leaked that might point to a Nintendogs release on mobile platforms.

Rumors say Nintendogs could get a release on mobile platforms in the future

Nintendogs was an exclusive title for the Nintendo DS back in 2005. This game allowed players to have 1 to 3 puppies in their household to take care of them. You could go to the kennel to meet your new best friends, interact with them, and then adopt them. But a dog comes with great responsibility. You had to feed, bathe, walk, and clean after your dog. Besides all the dirty work, you could play with your dogs at the park and interact with them in your house. You could even train them for agility, fetching, or obedience contests. We could expect something like this if Nintendogs truly releases on mobile platforms.

Nintendo Shows Its Lineup of Games for 2023

If the rumors are true, this will be the latest Nintendogs game after Nintendogs + Cats, a game that launched in 2011 for the Nintendo 3DS. The Nintendo Switch has some games about animals, more specifically dogs, in its catalog. The most similar to Nintendogs is Little Friends: Dogs & Cats, a game that launched in 2018. Right now, there is nothing to do but wait, but for the Nintendogs fans, we hope the rumored game brings something new. Nintendo has been doing right by its mobile titles so far. Hopefully, Nintendogs will come up with more ways to interact with our pets or accessories for them. But for now, this is only speculation, but dreaming doesn’t cost anything.
