Nintendo has announced that it will not participate in Gamescom 2022, an important video game event in Europe. This was confirmed by a spokesman for the company’s European division.
In a statement sent to Games Wirtschaft, a Nintendo of Europe spokesperson explained that the company will not be present at Gamescom 2022. Note that after several years of rest caused by the pandemic, the event will return physically in August.
According to Nintendo, Gamescom remains a very important event for them. However, after “careful consideration,” they made the decision not to participate in the 2022 edition of the event. Studio also made it clear that players in Germany will be able to try out upcoming releases for the Nintendo Switch at “numerous events.”

The Nintendo office in Frankfurt reports this at a request from GamesWirtschaft. Japan company says after careful consideration, it will not be going to Cologne for the game fair and to focus on other events in the summer.
