The official Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Twitter page has officially revealed that Shredder, the main villain of the TMNT universe, will be joining the roster as free DLC starting today. The second one is to be added following Garfield in December. IGN provided a deeper look into the character’s moves, abilities, origins, and play style in the overview video released after the announcement, with the focus on his claws, including swipes, stabs, and flying through the air to attack opponents with sharp, precise moves.

In addition to the Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl team adding Shredder as a playable character, a brand new stage based on the set from the classic Nickelodeon game show Double Dare was added with him, adding to the steady stream of updates the development team promised to the game last October. One of the first among these was the addition of alternate costumes for various fighters for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, many more of which are expected following Shredder’s reveal. Another upcoming update by the developer, the addition of voice acting and cross-play compatibility, was also recently reconfirmed by the developer.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl adding Shredder to the roster as DLC had been previously alluded to following a leak back in December after the official reveals of Garfield. The leak also teased the addition of the Double Dare stage. These previous rumors have now been confirmed, but what else could be coming to the game is unknown at this time.

The current cast of fighters in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl excluding Shredder includes Spongebob Squarepants, Patrick Star and Sandy Cheeks from Spongebob Squarepants;  Avatar Aang and Toph from Avatar: The Last Airbender; Avatar Korra from The Legend of Korra; Lincoln and Lucy Loud from The Loud House; Leonardo, Michelangelo, and April O’Neil from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; Ren and Stimpy and the Powdered Toast Man from Ren and Stimpy; Zim from Invader Zim; CatDog from CatDog; Reptar from Rugrats; Nigel Thornberry from The Wild Thornberrys; Helga from Hey Arnold!; Danny Phantom from Danny Phantom; Oblina from Aaahh!!! Real Monsters; and Garfield from Garfield.
