After a few issues at launch, Polyphony Digital continues to update the popular racing sim Gran Turismo 7. Kazunori Yamauchi, CEO of the developer company, has announced the new July update will be available next week. Meanwhile, the announcement and update come just about on schedule, with every content update thus far coming in the final week of the month. Here are the details about the new Gran Turismo 7 update.
The New Gran Turismo 7 Update Will Add Three Cars
The new update will arrive on July 25th and add three new vehicles to the title, just like its predecessors. Kazunori Yamauchi didn’t reveal the cars that will come to the Gran Turismo 7, but he gave us some hints by sharing silhouettes of the vehicles on Twitter. Also, the silhouettes of the cars are placed in a triangular shape.
As car freaks will recognize, the vehicle in the bottom-right corner is probably the 1982/3 Nissan Skyline Super Silhouette. The car also appeared in Gran Turismo 2. The vehicle at the top seems to be the Maserati A6GCS Spider which was developed in 1953 to compete in the World Sportscar Championship and won the GT Award at the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Meanwhile, officially knowns as the A6GCS/53. Gran Turismo 7 owners will love these cars.
It’s hard to guess, but the car in the bottom-left corner could be the Porsche 918 Spyder. This vehicle is a limited-production mid-engine plug-in hybrid hypercar manufactured by Porsche. It was also only produced between 2013 and 2015. For this reason, it’s tough to find in the car market.
In addition to these mysterious vehicles that will add to the game, it is not yet known what changes the new update will bring. The previous update was about fixing bugs and other issues.
So what do you think about the new Gran Turismo 7 update? What could the upcoming update bring to players?
