New Blood Interactive, which cements itself as one of the greatest indie publishers on the market, unveiled its plans for the remainder of 2022 during today’s PC Gaming Show. Alongside five reveals for current games, the team also finally gave an early access release date for their upcoming “Thief with guns” stealth game Gloomwood. Take a look at the trailer for Gloomwood’s early access below.
What Are New Blood Interactive’s Plans for 2022?
Starting things off right, Gloomwood is setting its pointy cane towards an early access release date of August 16. Set to bring all the stealth goodness you could hope for, the early access period will provide a healthy glimpse of what to expect later on with the game’s full release. The dynamic duo of Dillion Rogers and David Syzmanski has crafted a great experience here, one you should take a look at if you’re itching for a stealth horror experience or simply want a taste of the good ol’ Thief games. Best of all is the evil Countess, who is heard in the trailer under the voice of Terri Brosius. In case the voice sounds familiar, she also voices Shodan from System Shock and Viktoria from the original Thief!
Alongside Gloomwood though, five titles are receiving updates during 2022. Kicking things off right, you can expect Amid Evil’s upcoming The Black Labyrinth expansion to hit Steam at some point later this year. The second game shown was Ultrakill, which will continue its early access run with the second act and set of layers, continuing the incredible gameplay players have come to love. After that was Faith: The Unholy Trinity, which plans to bring all sorts of story-rich pixel art horror to your screens. After that was a showcase of Fallen Aces, a game best described as a noir beat ’em up/boomer shooter hybrid. And finally (my favorite announcement from today) was Dusk HD, which seeks to upgrade weapon and enemy models alongside the game’s upcoming Steam Workshop update.
All in all, New Blood’s remaining 2022 months are sure to bring some frankly incredible games and updates to existing legends. Which game that New Blood showed off at the PC Gaming Show are you most excited about? What’s your favorite boomer shooter, if you’ve played any? Let me know!
