We may finally be getting a new entry to the Batman: Arkham series.
In a tweet from Warner Bros. Montreal’s Valerie Vezina, we get an interesting hint towards what the team over at WB is working on. From what we and many others deduce (even though the project’s title is redacted), it’s a new Batman game set within the Arkham universe that brought us one of gaming’s best superhero franchises.

Perhaps the most interesting part of this teaser is the logo on Vezina’s shirt. It heavily points to the fan-favorite villainous organization, The Court of Owls, being featured in the game.
Who are The Court of Owls, you say? Well, they are actually a very recent addition into the Caped Crusader’s roster of foes, making their first appearance close after the relaunch of the DC Comics Universe. The Court of Owls are comprised of Gotham’s wealthiest criminals. They secretly have been controlling the city from behind the scenes for years, keeping their true identities hidden in the process. With that wealth and power comes an army that’s willing to stop Batman by any means necessary, making the organization a perfect antagonist for a new Arkham game.
Warner Bros. Montreal developed Batman: Arkham Origins, which came between Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham City and Batman: Arkham Knight. The game was received well and proved that WB is the right studio to hand the baton off to now that Rocksteady is working on a completely different project (sadly, it’s not Superman). Warner Bros. Montreal started staffing up for this project back in 2015, so it looks like we may be seeing more from them very soon.
