Deadline reported this morning about numerous updates Netflix gave us for their limited series thriller which was initially titled The Woman in the House; will now be titled: The Woman In The House Across The Street From The Girl In The Window. A mouthful to say the least. Netflix’s new show stars Kristen Bell and is set to premiere on January 28, 2022. Check out the trailer:
Kristen Bells Sits and Stares
At the center of The Woman In The House Across The Street From The Girl In The Window we have Anna, played by Bell, who has just had her heart broken. And much like most of us who have had our hearts broken, she is stuck in a rut of wine and meandering stares out of her window. Then, one day a new neighbor moves in; a ruggedly handsome new neighbor, which Anna sees as a way to get herself out of this rut she has entrenched herself in.
As happens in thrillers, something happens. She appears to witness someone get murdered and decides that drinking wine along with her pills is a good way to curb the stress of witnessing something so grizzly. Was it her ruggedly handsome new neighbor? Was it all in her head? Tune in on January 28 to see what actually happened to The Woman in the House.
Possible spoiler warning; I have yet to see this limited series, but after watching the trailer a couple of times, I think that the ominous male voice she’s talking to during the trailer, might be the killer, but also, if the writers did a great job, that could just be me grabbing the red hearing they placed so nicely.
The Woman in the House Across The Street From The Girl In The Window comes to us from Hugh Davidson, Larry Dorf, and Rachel Ramras who will also be credited as showrunners for the project. Their producing umbrella will be Gloria Sanchez Productions, which is also behind such productions as Dead to Me, The Shrink Next Door, Hustlers, and one of the best films of 2019: Booksmart.
Along with the aforementioned showrunners for the Netflix series, Kristen Bell, Jessica Elbaum, Will Ferrell, and Brittney Segal will also be credited as executive producers. And yes, that Will Ferrell.
