After launching the Honor 8X in China early last month, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has now launched the device in India at a starting price of Rs. 14,999. The new Honor 8X, which is the direct successor to the widely popular Honor 7X, packs in a mid-range Kirin 710 chipset from Huawei along with up to 6 GB RAM and up to 128 GB of internal storage.
In the camera department, the Honor 8X features a 20MP f/1.8 + 2MP dual camera setup on the back, along with an impressive 16MP selfie shooter up front. Going with the latest smartphone trends when it comes to design and build quality, the Honor 8X features a premium glass sandwich design with a sturdy metal frame supporting the layers of glass on the front and back.
Backing up the internal hardware is a respectable 3,750mAh battery, but no fast charging support. The device ships with a 5V/2A charging brick in the box which isn’t the best option, but Honor claims that they’ve optimized the smartphone well enough that it charges faster even with the included charging brick.
