The actress got bigger than ever before to be in superhero shape for Thor: Love and Thunder, blowing the minds of long-time fans that have known her since her days in Star Wars. She goes into the process but also how this felt as a woman.
She had been absent from the MCU since The Dark World. In this return, Natalie Portman will be Mighty Thor, giving her superpowers and a mightier role rather than being the love interest for Chris Hemsworth’s Thor. While getting jacked was all her, the height difference was through movie magic, or more accurately, movie platforms.
Natalie Portman Returning to the MCU as Mighty Thor
Due to her children’s interests in the MCU, Natalie Portman was aware of references to Jane Foster before becoming Mighty Thor. After hearing the pitch for her to come back as a hero, not a love interest, and her children being fans, she was sold on the idea.
Starring alongside Tessa Thompson and Jaimie Alexander, who also returns after an absence in Ragnarok and making a brief appearance in Loki, made rehearsals for the fight choreography for the actress feel more balanced compared to other films she had done.
Fans are close to finally seeing Jane Foster as Mighty Thor with the return of Natalie Portman in the MCU. Thor: Love and Thunder hits theaters on July 8th.
