With My Time at Sandrock’s Early Access releasing soon, many are eager to pick up the sequel to My Time at Portia. With building machines and crafting items being the game’s main mechanics, it is important to know where you’ll acquire the blueprints to make your equipment, furniture and structures. This guide will provide information on obtaining more item and structure blueprints in My Time at Sandrock Early Access.

How to Get More Blueprints in My Time at Sandrock

Depending on what types of blueprints and crafting recipes you’re looking for, there are two main methods of obtaining more:

  • Use Data Discs to purchase building blueprints, such as the Grinder and Processor, from Qi in the Research Center.
  • Use Gols to purchase item blueprints from the Commerce Guild, such as the feather duster, thick rope, and various furniture.

If you want to purchase more machines to help with your workshop’s production, the Research Center will be your go-to. In exchange for Data Discs, the local scientist Qi will spend a minimum of one day crafting your chosen blueprint. You can also use Data Discs to make the process quicker. For example, if a blueprint usually takes four days to complete, you can use anywhere from 16 to 96 Data Discs to speed up the research. Unlike in My Time at Portia, you have almost complete control over which machine blueprint for researching and how many days you want to skip.

Alternatively, if you’re looking for item blueprints, particularly for early game items like Thick Rope and the Feather Duster, the Commerce Guild will be your destination instead. In exchange for Gols, you can use the Commerce Guild Store to buy blueprint books directly. While this shop does not provide machine blueprints, there are several item blueprints you’ll need for both the main story and commissions. Many of the furniture blueprints you buy here are also items you can donate to the museum in exchange for Workshop Reputation points.

My Time at Sandrock Early Access is available starting May 26, 2022, on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
