MultiVersus Season 1 now has an official release date. The first season of MultiVersus will begin on August 15, with the official Battle Pass for the season being released, according to the game’s Twitter account. Despite being delayed, the upcoming season is expected to offer new characters, a brand-new battle pass, and a wave of balance updates.
MultiVersus Season 1 Will Begin on August 15
It’s important to remember that MultiVersus’s first season was delayed for one week. The preseason was initially scheduled to finish on August 8. However, the delay was brief, and players had to wait an extra week. Season 1 will start on August 15 with the official Battle Pass.
Morty from Rick and Morty is the only Season 1 character revealed for Multiversus so far. The game’s inaugural season will feature more than just Morty. His grandfather Rick Sanchez will also appear on the roster. Morty will make his gaming debut on August 23, a little over a week after the season premieres. However, we don’t know the release date for Rick’s addition for now.
According to Player First Games, MultiVersus Season 1 will also bring online ranked lobbies, a single-player arcade mode, and other characters in addition to the already confirmed Rick and Morty. MultiVerus’s first season will offer additional gifts for players to gain using the in-game battle pass and other types of currency, such as gleamium.
The preseason battle pass expires on August 15 to make way for the new MultiVersus Season 1 Battle Pass. The MultiVersus game director says it will feature 50 tiers, 35 more than the 15 levels it currently has. The new MultiVersus Season 1 Battle Pass will cost 950 Gleamium instead of the existing Battle Pass’s 300 Gleamium prices.
